UWS have worked with the NSW Government, Canterbury Bankstown Council and developers Walker Corp and Mirvac to move the campus to a high rise tower block currently being constructed on council owned land in Bankstown CBD.
Mirvac have submitted a planning proposal to council which would result in the demolition of the campus, the destruction of hundreds of old bushland trees and the construction of a 20 Hectare housing estate closed off to the local community.
Like many residents I believe the site should be retained in public ownership for educational purposes.
